Richmond Optometry – Which is Better?

Posted on 01 December 2010 by Matt

I thought these were kind of creative, if not funny. My vision is rarely bad enough were I would experience a mistake of this magnitude, but I know people who have pretty bad eyesight. Enjoy!

Milwaukee Art Museum is Pretty Sexy

Posted on 24 November 2010 by Matt

At least Victoria's Secret thought so. The recently named Sexiest Building recently played host to director Michael Bay and his Victoria's Secret commercial. Having been to the museum I quickly recognized the unique architecture. I had to rewind it a couple times to confirm what I thought was the location (really, that is the only reason I watched it again) and a quick Google search was the ultimate confirmation.

The Milwaukee Art Museum is a very interesting building. From its Brise Soleil opening and closing based on the amount of sun to the interior architecture (and, oh yeah, the art too) the museum is a very cool experience. I recommend checking it out as it is a short drive for those of you who live in Chicago.

Here's the Victoria's Secret Ad. It is as safe for work as any lingerie commercial can be.

JetBlue – You Wouldn’t Take it on the Ground

Posted on 18 October 2010 by Matt

I love JetBlue. I've flown them only a handful of times, but they are one of the airlines I always look to when searching for flights. They really do offer a better experience, especially when many of the other airlines are cutting corners and charging ridiculous fees. Enough of the promo.

These spots are great. Very funny. Very too the point. And very true of the industry. Enjoy.

Grey’s Anatomy Television Promo Does it Again

Posted on 03 June 2010 by Matt

I admit, I watch Grey's Anatomy. I got hooked back in 2006 during the Super Bowl. Many of my friends and I got hooked that year. How could you not (maybe you are scared of blood)? They had one of the most suspenseful, intense, and what-the-hell is happening  commercials I have every seen. So I, like many people tuned into a show that I had never before seen (at the end of the season none the less) because the commercial was so good. And then I stuck with it. Here is the ad that originally caught my eye:

Pretty good right? Now we are on to season 6 and admittedly, the show was getting a bit boring. I even made the comment "they need to do something like the Code Black episode." Low and behold someone was listening to me. At the end of the season that just finished they aired the following commercial to promote the season finale.

Another great commercial that apparently worked; the show was up 36% in viewership from the previous episode (down 10% from last season's finale). I believe the commercials alone did a good job of capturing new viewers and the numbers seem to indicate the same. As for this season's finale? I think it was one of the best episodes of Grey's yet and think it will play a part in boosting, at the very least, the first few episodes next season. We shall see.

Toyota’s Swagger Wagon

Posted on 31 May 2010 by Matt

So I returned safely from my hiking trip and it was a blast. I’ll eventually post something about that with pictures and all, but I had to post this:

I have to agree with my friend (@asmile87) who alerted me to this spot in that it is a bit out of character for Toyota. While it is a little different I think it is right on in terms of targeting the parents of today. They have iPods, like going out, love their families, and are more hip than their parents were.

I’m thinking Toyota should keep their agency for some time. Not sure how they feel but this was solid work.
